With the requirements for fire training services have increased at the Woodland QFES Training Facility in Townsville, we have delivered additional modules to the original design which was built and engineered by Royal Wolf 6 years ago.
A platform with side railing was recently added to allow for use of the space on top of a 20HC which formed part of the original design. Additional extensions will comprise of a door modification within the existing 20HC which will allow access the new platform.
Station Captain Warren was kind enough to show us around & explain what they trained for including abseilling, use for dark room, smoke room, orientation training & ladder training.
It was quite impressive!
