No height too great for Royal Wolf gantry

Leading national construction company, ADCO Constructions, recently utilised Royal Wolf to provide a creative solution to keep workers safe, whilst ensuring they had all amenities required, as it commenced development of a new major retail centre and residential tower in Lane Cove. To help 150 workers move safely and easily across the site during the ‘Rosenthal Project’ build, Royal Wolf assisted in the design of the gantry, which was manufactured and installed by Mechasteel Fabrications.

Royal Wolf also provided six-metre and twelve-metre lunchrooms, six-metre change rooms, male and female washrooms, modified platforms, one central office and a first aid office for staff during the during the 133-week build. Brian Rhodin, Business Development Executive at Royal Wolf, said the project was delivered to a fixed budget and in record time.

“Usually this type of project could take two to three days to install, but we needed to finish the build overnight to navigate around the specific local council and road traffic requirements. The project took four months to plan, but we ended up finishing in a record nine hours ”. The containerised portable buildings were stacked on top to provide a complete construction worksite solution within a compact footprint that’s resilient and will protect against construction materials, debris and other potential falling objects.

For this we used a Dovetail Twist Lock – a mechanism we use to anchor the cabins down and worked with the gantry manufacturer to incorporate this into their design,” he said. When completed, the Rosenthal complex is set to be a vibrant new public community space, with additional car parking capacity to assist with village centre growth.
