Royal Wolf Darwin Rally Business Community to help Family

Earlier this year, the team at Royal Wolf Northern Territory was proud to be involved in helping a local family going through a tough time. When 32-year-old mum of five, Felicity Plew, was suddenly diagnosed with aggressive brain cancer, just two weeks after giving birth to her fifth child, the family wanted to be closer to their extended relatives, located all the way down in Adelaide. alt= "royal wolf sponsorship"
Packing up their life so swiftly seemed like a daunting and impossible task, but the local community was quick to rally around Felicity, with the family’s GoFundMe page exceeding its $30,000 goal - and now standing at over $92,000 in funds donated. Hearing about the Plew’s situation, the team at Royal Wolf NT offered a free shipping container to move all of their belongings. Not wanting to stop there, Leslie Liddle, Business Development Executive at Royal Wolf NT, also reached out to other local community businesses to explain the situation and see if they could help by providing their services for free.

Among the amazing companies who offered their support included JEC Transport & Towing, Sea Swift and Allied Pickfords, who offered everything from packing materials to transport. “We were thrilled we could help and it was fantastic to see not only local residents but also businesses coming together to support this family in a time of need,” said Leslie. “It shows how local business, beyond just the goods and services they provide, are also part of the community spirit.” Felicity Plew and her family are settled back in Adelaide.
