As 2020 comes to a close, and with Christmas just days away, the Royal Wolf team is celebrating by giving back to the community.
Particularly close to the heart of IT & T Manager at Royal Wolf, Andrew Williams, is the Exley Oncology Ward, at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, where his wife Bronwen is employed as a Registered Nurse.
The Exley Oncology Ward is an isolation ward for Oncology patients.
“Due to the COVID pandemic the children have fewer visitors than they normally would, as there are restrictions as to who can enter the hospital,” explains Andrew.
He brought this to the attention of the Royal Wolf team, who were happy to contribute by donating some brand new PlayStations, which can play a crucial role in helping the children feel less alone.
“The PlayStations are used by the older children to help keep them occupied, and to keep in touch with their friends online,” explains Andrew.
Andrew is pictured outside the hospital presenting two PlayStations with two additional controllers and some games to Registered Nurse Tegan Macdonald.
For those wishing to donate, please do so via Bandaged Bear here. [ Bandaged Bear | Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation | Home.] If you wish to specifically donate to the Exley Ward, please note it in the comments.
