As football fans converged on Tumbalong Park at Sydney’s Darling Harbour for a fan event, Royal Wolf was there behind the scenes, supplying kiosks for Advantage Hospitality’s on-site bars.
Advantage Hospitality owner and director Star Wilkie needed two containers he could use as pop-up bars during the four-week event, so he went straight to Royal Wolf.
“Any time I'm producing an event, either for myself or someone else, I always use Royal Wolf,” Star says.
As a regular Royal Wolf customer, Star knew he could count on the team to deliver great service and quality products. In April he bought a 20-foot high cube container, which he had modified to include two roller doors, to serve as a pop-up cafe and bar called “The Cove” in Sydney’s Botanic Gardens.
“The team at Royal Wolf did everything from sourcing the container to planning out the measurements and completing the modification with the roller doors,” Star says. “They helped me out a lot and went out of their way to help fix any issues.”
Star said that this and other earlier experiences with Royal Wolf were what drove him to get in touch when he needed kiosks for the Tumbalong Park event.
Royal Wolf Sales Support Officer Dana Jojic says Star needed a secure containerised solution that he could use as a bar and lock up at the end of each day.
“They also come with internal benches, sinks and power – everything he needed to run his business,” Dana explains.
NEEDS OF OUR CLIENT

- Kiosks that were secure and lockable
- Wheelchair accessibility for customers
- Delivery of containers to site
- Adherence to Australian food and safety standards
SOLUTION
Beyond finding and supplying the containers to meet Star’s requirements, Dana and the Royal Wolf team were instrumental in making sure everything went smoothly – even when the delivery method had to be changed at the last minute.
“Initially it was all booked to be delivered with a tilt tray, but a couple of days out it had to be changed to a HIAB truck due to venue accessibility, and we were able to do that,” Dana says proudly.
The two bars, which were situated on opposite sides of the park, served thousands of thirsty soccer fans over the 25 days they were in operation.
SOLUTIONS PROVIDED
- 1 x 20-foot refrigerated container
- 2 x 20-foot wheelchair-accessible kiosks with awnings
- Change in delivery method
- Safe delivery and placement of containers on site
OUTCOME
Star says the customer service he received from Dana and Royal Wolf throughout the project was second to none.
“Dana went above and beyond, doing whatever she needed to do to make things happen. She was just always keeping me up to date as well, sending me texts or emails, which was handy,” he says.
Now that the fan event is done and dusted, Star is turning his attention to future projects, which he says will undoubtedly include Royal Wolf.
“There are some big events out there that I'm going for now: New Year's Eve events, Christmas events, summer events. They’re all just around the corner, and I'll 100 per cent be getting Royal Wolf back on board.”
