In April, The Block approached Royal Wolf to assist with a large scale project with Scott Cam and “his mates from Royal Wolf”. The concept was to deliver a 20ft shipping container as a storage solution for when the contestants arrive, and then modify it, along with another 10ft container, into a McDonalds McCafe for the teams and crew to use for the remainder of the series.
Royal Wolf were given 10 days to come up with the action plan and our expert Modification and Engineering teams were quick to execute ideas and plans to make this vision a reality. The Block McCafe design was swiftly completed and engineering analysis was performed with the assistance of Dale Garson - Royal Wolf's General Manager Engineering, and Brendon Greatrex our National Modifications Manager. Our in-house Royal Wolf reality TV stars - consisting of Brendon, Josh and Morgan, took time out of their daily activities in Brisbane to fly to Melbourne and with the help of Gihan Dekker, completed the full modification on-site at the Elsternwick location. The team showcased our expertise in modifications and professional teamwork for this season of The Block and were filmed throughout the project.
